1. Who these terms apply to

These terms govern anyone who uses YogaRetreats.ca ("the site"), whether you're browsing, claiming a listing, submitting a review, or paying for a featured placement.

2. What the site does

The site is a directory of yoga retreats and retreat centres in Canada. We show basic information about each retreat and link to the operator's own website for bookings. We do not process bookings, take deposits, or hold funds for retreats.

3. Directory accuracy

We do our best to keep listings accurate, but the site is not a booking system and information can go out of date. Always confirm dates, pricing, availability, and cancellation policies directly with the retreat operator before booking. We are not responsible for changes an operator makes to their own retreat after we list it.

4. Listing your studio or claiming a listing

If you claim an existing listing or add a new one, you confirm that:

• You are authorized to represent that studio or retreat centre.
• The information you submit is accurate and current.
• You own or have permission to use any photos, logos, or descriptions you upload.
• You grant us a non-exclusive, worldwide licence to display that information on the site while your listing remains active.

You can update or remove your listing at any time from your dashboard, or by emailing us.

5. Reviews and user content

If you submit a review, you confirm it reflects your own experience and is honest. We may edit reviews for formatting or reject reviews that are defamatory, contain personal attacks, are clearly fake, or violate any law. We moderate every review before it appears publicly.

6. Prohibited use

You agree not to:

• Scrape the site to duplicate the directory elsewhere.
• Submit fake reviews or impersonate another studio.
• Attempt to disrupt the site's operation (denial-of-service, security probes, etc.).
• Use the site to distribute spam, malware, or content that violates Canadian law.

7. Featured placements (paid)

If you purchase a featured placement:

• Prices are in Canadian dollars, billed monthly, and shown on the promote page.
• Placements run for the month you purchase and renew unless cancelled.
• Cancellations take effect at the end of the current billing month; no partial refunds.
• We reserve the right to refuse or refund a placement if the featured content is inaccurate, misleading, or against these terms.
• We don't guarantee any specific number of clicks, bookings, or revenue from a featured placement.

8. Intellectual property

The site design, code, and editorial content are © YogaRetreats.ca. Listing text, photos, and reviews remain the property of whoever submitted them. You may link to any public page on the site; you may not copy substantial portions of the directory for republication.

9. Limitation of liability

The site is provided "as is". To the maximum extent permitted by Canadian law, we are not liable for:

• Any loss or damage arising from your use of any retreat you find through the site.
• Cancelled, changed, or misrepresented retreats.
• Loss of data, income, or business arising from site downtime or errors.

In any event, our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the preceding 12 months (which, for browsers and free listings, is CAD $0).

10. Termination

We may suspend or remove any listing or account that violates these terms. You may close your account and remove your listing at any time via your dashboard.

11. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of British Columbia, unless you have separate consumer-protection rights under Canadian law that override this.

12. Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. If we change something material, we'll update the "Last updated" date above and, for anyone with an account, email a summary of the change.
