Hearts & Hooves- An Equine Wellness Experience - Grace & Flow
About this retreat
⚠️ UPDATE, August 2026: Due to Okanagan smoke and wildfire conditions, we've moved Hearts & Hooves from August 15 to Saturday, September 26, 2026 , the morning of the Full Harvest Moon. Existing tickets roll forward automatically. Questions? Email hello@graceandflow.ca . A morning of yoga, horses, and the kind of healing you didn't know you were looking for, under the Full Harvest Moon. Saturday, September 26, 2026 · 9:30–11:30 am · Vernon District Riding Club Why September 26? We originally set this morning for August 15. The Okanagan smoke and wildfire conditions this summer made the decision clear, an event built around breath needs clean air. When we chose the new date, we didn't have to look far. Saturday, September 26 is the Full Harvest Moon. The moon closest to the autumn equinox. The moon that has historically given farmers extra light to gather in everything they've grown. It felt right for a first Hearts & Hooves. THE MORNING There are mornings that feel like every other Saturday. And then there are mornings that don't fit the ordinary week at all. This is one of those. On September 26, we're gathering at the Vernon District Riding Club for the first-ever Hearts & Hooves: a boutique wellness morning created with Equine Assisted Energy Healer Zabrina Barteaux , woven around horses, breath, and the kind of nervous-system reset you can only get when you're truly outside , with animals nearby, and the world has been left at the gate. WHAT'S INCLUDED An equine bodywork demonstration with Zabrina. Before we move, you'll see, up close, what equine bodywork actually is and what it does to a horse's body in real time. Educational. Moving. Quietly extraordinary. A guided mindful yoga practice with horses present. You on your mat, horses led calmly around us in the grass as we move. The sound of them breathing, walking, the soft sound of them grazing nearby, does something to your nervous system that no playlist ever could. The practice is gentle and welcoming. You do not need to be flexible. You do not need to know horses. You only need to come. Matcha, mimosas, and a curated breakfast. Because the morning deserves both. A live giveaway: two private 15-minute Equine Assisted Bodywork sessions with Zabrina. Every guest who books a ticket by Wednesday, August 5 is automatically entered. The two winners will receive their sessions live at the event, so the rest of the group gets to witness the magic. TICKETS Regular $149 (July 15 onward) Space is intentionally limited. When the field is full, the field is full. THIS MORNING IS FOR YOU IF... ~ You've been quietly craving something that isn't another wellness class ~ You've never been around horses and have always wanted to be ~ You've been around horses your whole life and miss the feeling ~ You need an excuse to get your favourite woman in your life out for a morning together ~ You're between seasons of your life and you want to honour that with something beautiful ~ You read the words "horses being led around us as we practice" and felt something shift YOUR HOSTS Jessica Nobrega is the founder of Grace & Flow, an award-winning yoga and wellness community in the Okanagan, and the Yoga Science School.
